Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 14.1 oz
  • Chocolate eggs - 9 pieces
  • Ground Almonds - ½ cup
  • Butter - 7.1 oz
  • Milk - ½ cup
  • Pitted Wild Apricots - 2 lbs
  • Brandy - 3 tablespoons
  • Liquid dark chocolate - 3.5 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 356°F.

Step 2

Soak the prunes in water for 30 minutes and process them through a meat grinder.

Step 3

Knead the dough from 8 eggs, flour, softened butter, 200 grams of sugar, and 0.5 cups of ground almonds.

Step 4

Line a baking pan with parchment paper, grease with butter, and bake the cake layer. Once cooled, cut the cake into 2 parts.

Step 5

Prepare the custard.

Step 6

Cook the syrup with ¼ cup of sugar and 1 cup of water. Add the brandy.

Step 7

Soak the sponge cake layers in the syrup, spread with custard, and layer with prunes. The thickness of the prune layer should be at least the thickness of the cake layer. Cover the sides and top of the cake with custard. Sprinkle the cake with grated chocolate.
