Puff Pastry Baskets with Custard and Berries
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Puff Pastry - 17.6 oz
- Raspberry leaves - 3.5 oz
- Fresh Berries - 3.5 oz
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Powdered Sugar - 1.8 oz
- Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Wheat Flour - 0.5 oz
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Vanilla salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Lightly roll out the puff pastry and cut out equal amounts of rounds and rings.

Carefully press down the baked forms in the center and fill them with the prepared custard.

Place the baskets on a plate, decorate the top with fresh berries of your choice (I used strawberries and blueberries) and powdered sugar.

Spray a baking sheet lined with parchment paper with a little vegetable oil and place the rounds on it.

Brush them with egg and poke holes all over the surface.

Carefully place the rings on top, brush with egg, and bake the baskets for 15 minutes in an oven preheated to 428°F.

Meanwhile, prepare the custard: beat 1 egg with sugar, adding flour.

Bring the milk to a boil and pour it into the mixture, stirring continuously.
Step 7
Pour the milk mixture back into a saucepan and place it over low heat—reduce the custard until thickened, stirring constantly. Let it cool.
Step 8
Also, beat the butter thoroughly with vanilla sugar using a mixer.
Step 9
Add the thickened and slightly cooled milk custard to the butter and mix everything thoroughly first with a spoon, then with a mixer.
