Ingredients
- Water - 12 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 17.6 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Dry yeast - 0.4 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rub the yeast into the flour until a uniform crumb forms. Add salt, then water. Knead the dough for 2-3 minutes until it starts to come together. Leave it for 1 hour to rise.
Step 2
Place the dough on a floured surface. Slightly flatten it with your hands and roll it out to a thickness of 5 mm.
Step 3
Cut out circles using a cutter, lightly moisten them with water, and stack them in piles of 4.
Step 4
Place the buns on a flat baking sheet or an inverted baking tray and leave for 45 minutes.
Step 5
Put the tray with the buns in a preheated oven at maximum temperature. Spray the oven with water from a spray bottle and immediately close it. Reduce the temperature to 446°F and bake the buns for 10-12 minutes until the crust is dark golden. Cool on a wire rack.
