Description
Making 'Ears' is super easy: you need ready-made puff pastry, an orange, cinnamon, sugar, and salt. You'll spend little time and effort — but the joy will last a long time.
Ingredients
- Puff Pastry - 7.1 oz
- Sugar - 6 oz
- Cinnamon - ½ spoons
- Oranges - 2 pieces
- Salt - ¼ spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Take the dough out of the freezer.
Step 2
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 2 mm.
Step 3
Mix 100 grams of sugar with salt and cinnamon. Sprinkle half of the sugar mixture over the dough. Lightly roll it out with a rolling pin.
Step 4
Gently flip the dough, sprinkle it with the remaining sugar mixture, and roll it out with a rolling pin.
Step 5
Roll the dough into a log shape from both sides toward the center. Wrap it in paper and place it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Step 6
Prepare the glaze. In a saucepan, combine 70 grams of sugar, the zest and juice of oranges.
Step 7
Bring to a boil and reduce by half. Remove from heat.
Step 8
Slice the roll into pieces about 5–7 mm thick.
Step 9
Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for 7 minutes. Flip the cookies and return to the oven for another 5 minutes.
Step 10
Brush the finished cookies with icing and cool them on a wire rack.
Step 11
Serve the "Ears" cookies with tea.
