Puff Pastry Ears with Sugar
Ingredients
- Butter - 8.8 oz
- Milk - 1 fl oz
- Sugar - ½ cup
- Salt - ¼ teaspoon
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 2 cups
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Beat the eggs with 1 tablespoon of sugar, add milk, salt, mix, and pour this mixture into the softened butter. Mix everything thoroughly (you can use a mixer).
Step 2
Then add the flour and quickly knead the dough. Adjust the amount of flour so that the dough is soft but does not stick to your hands.
Step 3
Roll out the dough and fold it into quarters, then repeat this procedure once more. Place it in the refrigerator for about 40 minutes to firm up.
Step 4
Divide the chilled dough into several parts, sprinkle each with sugar, and stack them on top of each other.
Step 5
Roll the stack of layers into an elongated flat shape. Fold the long sides, leaving a gap of 1.5–2 cm in the middle.
Step 6
Sprinkle with sugar again, fold the dough in half, and cut into pieces of 1–1.5 cm.
Step 7
Place on a greased baking sheet and put in a preheated oven at 428°F for 15 minutes. It’s better to remove them from the baking sheet immediately, as the sugar may leak a bit and the ears can stick when cooling.
