Description
You can add cinnamon, apples, dried fruits, candied fruits, or completely change the filling if desired.
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Nuts - 1 cup
- Honey - 4 tablespoons
- Puff Pastry - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
I use ready-made frozen puff pastry. Let it thaw at room temperature.
Step 2
In the meantime, prepare the nuts. Chop the nuts in a blender (be careful not to turn them into powder), then add the sugar to the nuts.
Step 3
Lightly beat the egg with a whisk. Roll out the pastry, making sure not to thin the sheets too much so that it can be rolled into a log later. Brush the pastry with egg. Sprinkle with the nut mixture. Press them down so they don't fall off. Roll up a tight log and cut it into pieces (as you prefer, I got 5 pieces from one sheet).
Step 4
Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, previously greased with butter. Then drizzle with honey (to your taste).
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 392°F, place the rolls inside, and bake until the pastry starts to turn golden (20–30 minutes). Additional time may be needed.
