Pumpernickel with Cinnamon
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 1 cup
- Sugar - 3 tablespoons
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Chopped almonds - 2 tablespoons
- Ground Cinnamon - ½ teaspoon
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon

Step 1
Mix the flour with the baking soda and sift.
Step 2
Chop the almonds coarsely. Cream the butter with the sugar and cinnamon in a saucepan using a wooden spatula for 3-4 minutes, then add 1 egg and beat for 3-4 minutes.
Step 3
Combine all the ingredients and knead the dough. Roll it into ropes slightly thicker than a finger and the length of the baking sheet, place them on a greased baking sheet, press down with your palm to flatten, and brush with egg.
Step 4
Bake for 10-15 minutes at 220-446°F. Slice the finished pumpernickel diagonally.
