Ingredients
- Pumpkin - 9 lbs
- Sugar - 3 lbs
- Water - 13 fl oz
- Cinnamon - to taste
- Citric Acid - to taste
- Ground clove - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds, and cut it into slices or grate it coarsely. Cook in three batches for 7–8 minutes each.
Step 2
Then drain and add to the boiling thick syrup. Cook until the jam reaches the desired thickness.
Step 3
Flavor the jam with cinnamon and cloves, which should be added before the citric acid. You can also add lemon or orange essence after removing the pot from the heat.
Step 4
Once the jam cools, pour it into jars.
