- Wheat Flour - 6.5 oz
- Butter - 7.1 oz
- Whole egg - 1 piece
- Onion - 28.2 oz
- Brown Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Sour Cream - 6.5 oz
- Prosciutto - 1.4 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Ground Caraway - 2 teaspoons
- Cheshire Cheese - 1.4 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut 125 grams of butter into small pieces and mix with the flour. Add the yolk and 1-2 tablespoons of water. Knead until you have a uniform dough. Add more water if necessary. Roll the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Step 2
Slice the onion into thin half-rings and boil in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain. Melt the remaining butter in a pan and sauté the onion over low heat for 25 minutes until soft. Add the sugar and cook for another 15 minutes, stirring, until light brown. Preheat the oven to 392°F. Grease a pie dish with butter.
Step 3
Roll out the dough to fit the size of the dish and place it, trimming the excess and pressing it well against the dish. Line the dough with parchment paper and sprinkle with grains or legumes to prevent the dough from rising. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the paper and grains and bake for another 5 minutes. Let it cool.
Step 4
Whisk together the sour cream and eggs. Add the sliced prosciutto, grated cheese, and caraway. Season with salt and add the onion. Pour the mixture onto the dough and bake for 40 minutes. If the dough starts to burn before the time is up, cover the dish with foil.
