Description
Quiche with Leeks and Curry
Ingredients
- Butter - 3.4 oz
- Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Water - 1 tablespoon
- Farm fresh eggs - 3 pieces
- Leek - 14.1 oz
- 20% Sour Cream - 7.1 oz
- Red Curry Powder - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
For the dough, mix 75 grams of slightly softened butter, sifted flour, salt, and 1 egg in a food processor. Combine the ingredients. Add a tablespoon of ice water (you can even add 1.5–2 tablespoons) and continue mixing until the processor turns the dough from crumbs into a single ball.
Step 2
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for half an hour.
Step 3
Wash, dry with a paper towel, and slice the leeks into rings.
Step 4
For the filling, lightly melt 20 grams of butter, add curry and leeks.
Step 5
Separately prepare the sauce. Whisk 2 eggs, add sour cream and salt.
Step 6
Roll out the dough from the refrigerator in a greased pan (a quiche looks very nice in a fluted pan), place it in the oven (392°F) for 10 minutes, pricking it beforehand.
Step 7
Spread the filling on top and pour the egg mixture over it.
Step 8
Bake at 437°F for 15–20 minutes (or until golden brown).
