Description
The first time I chopped the cabbage with a knife, and although I tried to make it finer, the head was small and the thick edge of the core was quite large, resulting in many thick pieces (as seen in the photo). As a result, after 30 minutes, the dough was ready, but the cabbage in the center of the pie remained a bit firm. The second time, I took a large head and used a shredder, and I lightly sautéed the cabbage while preparing the dough. By the way, the dough in this pie tastes wonderful! I recommend it as a combination of a quick lunch and dessert.
Ingredients
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- White Cabbage - 17.6 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 3 pieces
- Sour Cream - 7.1 oz
- Mayonnaise - 3 tablespoons
- Wheat Flour - 6 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Baking Powder - 2 teaspoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Finely chop the cabbage using a shredder and place it in a 26 cm diameter baking dish, leveling it out and leaving 1 cm free from the edge of the dish for forming the dough border.
Step 2
Melt the butter and pour it over the cabbage.
Step 3
For the dough — whisk all remaining ingredients until smooth and pour it over the cabbage.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 356°F and bake the pie for 30 minutes.
