Quick Cake with Custard
Ingredients
- Sugar - 1½ cups
- Butter - 9.2 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 4 pieces
- Vodka - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Milk - 1 cup
- Activated Baking Soda - 2 teaspoons
- Wheat Flour - 3 cups
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Dissolve 60 g of butter and 1 cup of sugar. Beat in 3 eggs, add 2 tablespoons of vodka, mix everything and place in a water bath, adding baking soda. Stir constantly, allowing the mixture to triple in volume.
Step 2
Remove from heat, add 1 tablespoon of honey, and gradually add flour (enough to roll out the dough into flatbreads), knead the dough.
Step 3
Divide the dough into 4 parts, roll out, and bake in the oven at 392°F until golden brown.
Step 4
Prepare the custard. Pour milk into a small saucepan and heat, adding half a cup of sugar, an egg, and a tablespoon of flour. Bring to a boil and let cool. Add 200 g of butter to the custard.
Step 5
Once everything is ready, assemble the cake. Layer the cakes one by one and spread with custard.
Step 6
When the cake is ready, trim the uneven edges and sprinkle the top with the trimmings.
