Description
You can use any cheese you like for this pie. Various leftovers from your fridge will come in handy. Instead of feta cheese, you can use cottage cheese. The taste of the pie turns out different each time, depending on the ingredients used.
Ingredients
- Cheese Spread - 3.5 oz
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Feta cheese - 3.5 oz
- Milk - 4 fl oz
- Ocean salt - a pinch
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Armenian Lavash - 1 piece
- Dried Chamomile - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Grate the cheese and crumble the feta with a fork. Mix the cheese with the feta, add dried herbs, pepper, and garlic.
Step 2
Cut the lavash to fit the baking dish, making the bottom layer slightly larger than the dish to create edges when placing it in the dish.
Step 3
Beat the eggs with the milk and salt.
Step 4
Layer the lavash sheets, soaked in the egg and milk mixture, and the cheese filling in the baking dish.
Step 5
Place the last layer of lavash, tucking the edges that extend beyond the dish inside.
Step 6
Pour the remaining egg and milk mixture over the pie.
Step 7
Bake in a preheated oven for 20–25 minutes at 392°F.
