Description
Yield is approximately 25–30 pies, depending on the size of the balls. The filling can be anything: potatoes with fried onions and garlic; potatoes with liver; rice with egg; cherries; fried cabbage with onions, etc. These pies can be either fried or baked. But fried ones are tastier! The dough is simply excellent: sausages in dough, cutlets in dough, and even bread turn out great!
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 3 tablespoons
- Safflower Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Combine all the ingredients and pour in 1 cup of boiling water. Mix well. Allow the mixture to cool.
Step 2
Once the mixture has cooled, add 50 g of yeast (I use fresh wet yeast) (dry yeast at a ratio of 1:3) and another cup of lukewarm water, 4 cups of flour (250 g each). Knead the dough as you would for pies. Divide into portioned balls, let them rest for about 5 minutes, place the filling inside, and fry in a large amount of sunflower oil.
