Description
These turn out to be miniature, tender, crispy, moderately sweet, and almost low-fat buns. Just as good as Cinnabon, I swear!) And much easier and faster! You will get about 10-12 small rolls.
Ingredients
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Puff Pastry - 8.8 oz
- Ground Cinnamon - 0.7 oz
- Vanillin - ½ teaspoon
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Milk - ⅓ cup
- Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande - 17.6 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to maximum power, placing the rack at the highest position.
Step 2
Roll out the dough into a circle with a diameter of about 35 cm or into a square of 30x30 cm.
Step 3
Melt the butter, add the cinnamon, ⅔ cup of sugar, and ¼ teaspoon of vanillin (you can replace it with vanilla sugar, but I don't know how much to add).
Step 4
Evenly (but not excessively) spread the resulting mixture over the dough. Roll it into a tight log - the tighter, the better. Cut into rolls about 1.5 cm high with a very sharp knife.
Step 5
Line a small baking dish with parchment paper (highly recommended, as cleaning melted butter from the dish is a nightmare) and place the rolls evenly, leaving at least 3 cm between them.
Step 6
Leave in the oven for 10-20 minutes, depending on its power. You can tell they are ready by their golden color.
Step 7
When the rolls are done, take them out and place them on a flat plate. While they cool, prepare the glaze (or sauce).
Step 8
Beat the mascarpone (or another cream cheese: Philadelphia, Almette without additives, or cottage cheese) with ⅓ cup of sugar and ¼ teaspoon of vanillin using a mixer. Gradually add the milk carefully, as the cheese can vary in density, and the mixture should resemble liquid sour cream. Continue adding and beating.
Step 9
Once the rolls have cooled, drizzle them with the sauce.
