Quick Ginger Cake with Orange Cream
Ingredients
- Cream (40%) - 9 fl oz
- Raw cane sugar - 0.5 oz
- Oranges - 1 piece
- Brandy - 3 fl oz
- Chocolate Gingerbread Cookies - to taste
- Liquid dark chocolate - 3.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Grate the zest of the orange.
Step 2
In a bowl, whip the cream with sugar using a mixer, then add the orange zest.
Step 3
Dip 1 cookie in brandy and place it on a plate (do this very quickly to prevent the cookie from absorbing too much alcohol). Spread a thin layer of whipped cream on top, then dip another cookie and place it on top of the cream. Repeat 3 times.
Step 4
Arrange the cookies in a line or rectangle. Spread the remaining cream on top and sprinkle with grated chocolate.
Step 5
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
