Description
This baking method is very simple and quick, especially when you crave something tasty and have limited ingredients. You can add fruits before baking; just chop your favorites and sink them into the batter. You can also sprinkle nuts on top before the cake is baked. If during the mixing process the batter seems too thick and not elastic enough, you can add a little more milk. It can be served with ice cream, jam, or just on its own.
Ingredients
- Jam - 10.6 oz
- Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
- Milk - 5 fl oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - 2.5 oz
- Powdered Sugar - to taste
Step by Step guide

Prepare the ingredients.

Pour the jam into a bowl.
Step 3
Add a full teaspoon of baking soda to the jam.
Step 4
Mix the jam and baking soda well (the mixture will foam and become lighter in color).

Add the eggs to the jam and mix.
Step 6
Add the sugar and mix.
Step 7
Add the milk and mix.

Gradually add the flour and mix.

The batter should be fairly liquid and homogeneous.

Line the baking pan with parchment paper or a baking mat if necessary.

Pour the batter into the pan.

Spread it evenly.

Bake in the oven at 356°F for 40 minutes.

You can check the readiness of the cake by its color and by poking it with a toothpick (it should come out dry).
