Quick Napoleon Cake
Ingredients
- Sweetened Condensed Milk with Coffee - 1 can
- 33% Cream - 17 fl oz
- Puff Pastry - 17.6 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Remove the pastry from the packaging, separate the layers, and leave to thaw at room temperature.
Step 2
Meanwhile, prepare the cream. Whip the cream until it forms stiff peaks (this takes a while) and refrigerate.
Step 3
Place the pastry in the oven at 210–428°F for 15 minutes.
Step 4
At the same time, combine the sweetened condensed milk and the whipped cream, mix well with a mixer, and refrigerate.
Step 5
Remove the pastry from the oven, let it cool, then separate it into layers.
Step 6
Sometimes the center of the pastry may not be fully baked; individual layers may need to be finished in the oven at 410°F for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 7
Set aside some of the pastry layers for decorating the cake at the end.
Step 8
Assemble the cake: layer of pastry, layer of cream. Be generous with the cream. Don't forget to cover the sides of the cake with cream as well.
Step 9
Finally, sprinkle the cake with crumbs from the pastry.
Step 10
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the layers to soak.
