Quick Nettle Pie
Ingredients
- Puff Pastry - 17.6 oz
- Pickled Nettle - 10.6 oz
- Chicken Egg - 5 pieces
- Onion - 5.3 oz
- Butter - 2.5 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Take the dough out of the freezer in advance.
Step 2
Wash the nettles and dry them with paper towels.
Step 3
Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Carefully add the eggs to the water and boil for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Once the eggs are boiled, cool them under cold water, peel them, and grate them.
Step 5
Finely chop the onion.
Step 6
In a skillet, melt the butter. Sauté the onion until translucent, then add the nettles and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Step 7
Turn off the heat, add the grated egg to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and stir. Let it cool.
Step 8
Roll out both sheets of dough to fit the size of the baking pan. Grease the baking pan with butter and lay one sheet of dough in it.
Step 9
Place the filling on the dough, cover with a second layer of dough, and seal the edges.
Step 10
Brush the pie with beaten egg, make a vent for steam to escape, and place it in the oven at 392°F for 25–30 minutes.
Step 11
Let the finished pie cool on a wire rack. Serve it warm or chilled.
