Description
This is a fast and simple way to pickle cucumbers. Lemon juice will speed up the process. If you wait more than an hour, the cucumbers will become much saltier, and by the next day, they will be fully pickled. If you want to stop the pickling process, it's better to remove them from the brine and transfer them to a separate container. However, this pickling method is great just before serving. For those who enjoy spicier flavors, you can add hot pepper.
Ingredients
- Cucumbers - 4 pieces
- Dill - 1 bunch
- Salt - 1 tablespoon

- Garlic - 6 cloves
- Lemon - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients.
Step 2
Wash the cucumbers and cut off the ends.
Step 3
Next, slice them into pieces (first cut them in half lengthwise, then cut each half in half lengthwise again, and finally cut the long wedges crosswise — this way, one cucumber will be cut into eight pieces).
Step 4
Place all cucumber slices into a convenient container with a lid.
Step 5
Chop the dill.
Step 6
Add the dill to the cucumbers.
Step 7
Peel the garlic.
Step 8
Chop into small pieces.
Step 9
Add salt and sugar to the cucumbers and dill.
Step 10
Then add the garlic.
Step 11
Squeeze the juice of 1/3 of the lemon into the mixture.
Step 12
Cover with a lid and shake the container well to mix everything.
Step 13
Check if it is mixed well, cover with the lid, and leave at room temperature for 1 hour.
Step 14
Shake the container every 15 minutes.
Step 15
Serve the ready cucumbers on a plate.
