Description
You can use cherries instead of cranberries or strawberries. You can use lemon zest, orange zest, or a mix of both.
Ingredients
- Ricotta cheese - 17.6 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 7 tablespoons
- Butter - 2.1 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 4 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 5.3 oz
- Citrus Zest Mix - 2 tablespoons
- Dried cranberries with sugar - 1.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a food processor or mixer, combine the ricotta cheese with the powdered sugar. If desired, you can increase the amount of sugar by 3 tablespoons for a sweeter pie.
Step 2
Add room temperature butter and mix again.
Step 3
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
Step 4
Continue mixing and gradually add the flour.
Step 5
Add the zest and cranberries, gently folding with a spatula. Introduce the cranberries without their juice.
Step 6
Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 45 minutes, covering with foil for the last 10-15 minutes to prevent the top from burning.
Step 7
Once cooled, dust the pie with powdered sugar if desired and decorate with berries.
