Description
This quince can be served as a dessert or as a side dish with meat. It pairs best with any lamb or roasted chicken.
Ingredients
- Quince - 4 pieces
- Goat cheese - 7.1 oz
- Paprika - 1 tablespoon
- Olive Oil - 1 fl oz
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Parsley - 0.7 oz
- Maple syrup - 1 tablespoon
- Butter - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the quince and remove the core, leaving the bottom intact. This means cutting out the insides from the top, trying to maximize the space for filling. It’s clear that in the process, a lot of the quince's vegetarian flesh will go to waste, but it's best to accept this as a fact without getting overly frugal about it. In the end, it will all be worth it, trust me.
Step 2
Coat the peeled quince with butter and place it in an oven preheated to 392°F for thirty minutes.
Step 3
Once the quince is lightly roasted, remove it and stuff it with a mixture of grated goat cheese, chopped parsley, sugar, crushed garlic, paprika, and maple syrup.
Step 4
Return the quince to the oven for fifteen to twenty minutes.
