Quince with Ice Cream
Ingredients
- Quince - 4 pieces
- Cinnamon - 1 stick
- Vanilla salt - 1 pod
- Sugar - 1.8 oz
- Lemon - 2 pieces
- Clarified Butter - 1.8 oz
- Ginger - 0.7 oz
- Vanilla Ice Cream - 7.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the quince, remove the core, and cut it into cubes approximately two centimeters in size. The size is approximate. Cut as you like, but not too large.
Step 2
Pour the chopped quince with water mixed with lemon juice, add a stick of cinnamon and a vanilla pod, previously split open, into the pot with water and quince. Add sugar and grated ginger as well. Place on the heat and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for another twenty minutes.
Step 3
After that, use a slotted spoon to remove the quince, dry it on paper towels, heat the clarified butter in a skillet until it bubbles, and sauté the quince in this butter until a delicious crust forms. Serve on plates, top with scoops of ice cream, and enjoy while the ice cream is still melting.
