Description
Quinoa is often added to salads and juices, but it also makes for a wonderful porridge.
Ingredients
- Quinoa - 7.1 oz
- Milk - 7 fl oz
- Ground Cinnamon - 0 oz
- Frozen black currant puree - 0.7 oz
- Pears - 6 oz
- Date honey - 0.7 oz
- Clarified Butter - 0 fl oz
- Brown Sugar - 1.2 oz
- Water - 3 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the quinoa under cold running water.
Step 2
Pour the quinoa with milk and 150 ml of water, add a pinch of salt, half of the sugar, bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Add the currants, stir, and cook for another 5 minutes, remove from heat, and let cool for 4–5 minutes.
Step 4
Peel the pear, remove the seeds, and cut it into large cubes.
Step 5
Melt the butter over medium heat, add the remaining sugar, and sauté the pear for 2 minutes until the sugar dissolves.
Step 6
Divide the porridge into bowls and top with the pear.
Step 7
Drizzle the pear with honey, sprinkle with cinnamon, and serve.
