Raisin and Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

  • Unleavened dough - 8.8 oz
  • Ground Cinnamon - 2 teaspoons
  • Light Raisins, Seedless - 1.1 oz
  • Whole egg - 1 piece
  • Sugar - 4 teaspoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Take the frozen yeast dough and thaw it at room temperature. I bought dough for pastries, which comes in ready-made pieces, making it very convenient to roll out and prepare. There are about 10 pieces in a pack; I took half, which makes 5 rolls, but you can double it.

Step 2

Once the dough has thawed, let it rise in a warm place. The pieces should double in size.

Step 3

Next, roll out the pieces into flat rounds about 15 cm in diameter.

Step 4

Spread softened butter on the top surface. Sprinkle with cinnamon, sugar, and raisins to taste. Everyone has their preference. I sprinkled them all evenly.

Step 5

Roll the flat round into a log, pressing it slightly. Fold the log in half, with the curve facing inward, and gently press it down.

Step 6

Using a knife, cut halfway through the log from the curved side, leaving a 2 cm tail. Open the two resulting halves to the sides to form a heart shape.

Step 7

Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil. Arrange the rolls on it and brush the sides without filling with egg yolk.

Step 8

Place in a warm spot for the rolls to rise a bit. Alternatively, you can place them on top of the gas stove (on the burners) with the oven turned on — the heat will rise and help the rolls to rise.

Step 9

After the rolls have risen slightly, place them in a preheated oven on low heat for about 10–15 minutes.
