Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 14.1 oz
- Margarine - 7.1 oz
- Sugar - to taste
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Red Currant - 14.1 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix the sifted flour with softened margarine until crumbly.
Step 2
Separate the egg whites from the yolks, place the whites in the refrigerator, and beat the yolks with two tablespoons of sugar.
Step 3
Combine the buttery crumbs with the yolks and knead the dough. Roll into a ball and refrigerate for half an hour.
Step 4
Grease a baking dish with oil and spread the dough to form a large basket. You can place some stones at the bottom.
Step 5
Bake in a preheated oven until partially cooked.
Step 6
Mash the red currants with sugar (drain any excess juice), and simmer on low heat until the sugar dissolves.
Step 7
Whip the egg whites with powdered sugar. It's better if the foam is not too stiff.
Step 8
Remove the basket from the oven, fill it with currants, spread the whipped egg whites on top, and return to a low heat to bake until the whites are golden.
