Description
Red Grape Jelly with Sour Cream
Ingredients
- Gelatin - 0.5 oz
- Seedless Green Grapes - 2 lbs
- Sugar - ½ cup
- Sour Cream - 6 tablespoons
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a small bowl, mix the gelatin with 0.5 cup of water. Let it sit for a while.
Step 2
Meanwhile, cut the grapes in half and transfer them to a saucepan. Add sugar and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 10–15 minutes, mashing the grapes with a potato masher.
Step 3
Stir in the gelatin and mix until dissolved.
Step 4
Strain through a sieve, pressing out all the juice — you should get about 3 cups. If it's less, add water.
Step 5
Pour the jelly into molds and place in the refrigerator until set.
Step 6
In a bowl, whip the sour cream with honey and top the set jelly with it. Serve immediately.
