Description
All ingredients can be found in grocery stores. Once cooled to the desired temperature, Rerikh porridge will energize you until dinner! If for any reason you are hesitant about adding baking soda, you can omit it from the recipe without losing flavor or health benefits.
Ingredients
- Flaxseeds - 2 tablespoons
- Chestnut flour - 1 teaspoon
- Milk Thistle Seed Flour - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 7 fl oz
- Milk - 7 fl oz
- Date Syrup - 2 teaspoons
- Pearl barley - 2 tablespoons
- Activated Baking Soda - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Bring water to a boil. After a couple of minutes, pour in the milk.
Step 2
After another 5 minutes, start adding the dry ingredients (carefully sprinkle one spoonful while stirring with another to avoid lumps). The order is: barley, flaxseed porridge or flour, milk thistle flour, pine nut flour.
Step 3
After a couple more minutes, add the baking soda.
Step 4
As soon as the porridge is close to boiling, turn off the heat.
Step 5
After a couple of minutes, add the date syrup (you can substitute date syrup with agave syrup, maple syrup, or any other natural syrup you prefer).
