Description

You can serve a fruit or berry sauce separately in a sauceboat.

Ingredients

  • Rice - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Butter - 3.5 oz
  • Milk - 17 fl oz
  • Candied fruits - 1.8 oz
  • Farm fresh eggs - 4 pieces
  • Raisins - 3.5 oz
  • Vanillin - ½ teaspoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Place the sorted and well-washed rice in boiling water. After boiling for 10 minutes, drain the rice in a sieve, let the water drain, then return it to the pot, pour in hot milk, and cook for another 15 minutes, after which let it cool slightly.

Step 2

Beat the egg yolks with sugar, add vanillin, and mix with the cooked rice. Also add pieces of candied fruits, washed raisins, butter, peeled and finely chopped nuts, and egg whites whipped into a thick foam. Mix everything well.

Step 3

Transfer the prepared mixture into a special mold or a greased baking dish sprinkled with breadcrumbs, and place it in the oven or a medium heat for 30–40 minutes.

Step 4

Before serving, turn the pudding out of the mold onto a plate.
