Description
Ideally, it is better to use drier ricotta, which has a consistency similar to dry cottage cheese.
Ingredients
- Ricotta cheese - 8.1 oz
- Philadelphia Cheese - 2.8 oz
- Wheat Flour - 1.1 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 1.4 oz
- Whole egg - 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Corn Starch - 3 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Drain the liquid from the ricotta. Pass half of the ricotta through a coarse sieve. This is to ensure the pancakes are tender. Mix the remaining ricotta with the strained one.
Step 2
Add the powdered sugar and mix. Then add the flour and mix again until smooth. Add the egg yolk. Finally, add the Philadelphia cheese. Mix well each time. The mixture should be thick.
Step 3
Divide the mixture into parts (about 7). On a surface dusted with cornstarch, roll out even patties.
Step 4
Fry the pancakes in vegetable oil over medium heat on both sides until golden brown. Place the finished pancakes on a paper towel.
Step 5
Serve with sweetened condensed milk, berry jam, or other favorite sauces.
