- Pumpkin - 1 piece
- Olive Oil - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 392°F.
Step 2
Cut the pumpkin in half and scoop out the seeds with a spoon. Rinse the seeds well under cold water, removing any strands.
Step 3
In a saucepan, combine water, seeds, and salt (for every 0.5 cup of seeds, use 2 cups of water and 1 tablespoon of salt). Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes. Drain the water.
Step 4
Generously grease a baking sheet with oil and spread the dried seeds in a single layer. Bake in the oven for 10–20 minutes until the seeds are dry and slightly browned (constantly taste the seeds to adjust the cooking time). Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet.
