Description
Dried fruits can be substituted: to make it a bit less sweet, use dried apples instead of one of the suggested fruits.
Ingredients
- Light Raisins, Seedless - 10.6 oz
- Dried Apricots - 10.6 oz
- Seedless Green Grapes - 10.6 oz
- 20% Sour Cream - 7.1 oz
- Sugar - 2 cups
- Vanilla salt - 1 teaspoon
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 14.1 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Grind the dried fruits separately in a meat grinder, adding sugar to taste (you can omit it altogether).
Step 2
Dough: mix 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of sour cream, eggs, and add baking soda. Add flour and knead the dough.
Step 3
Divide the dough into 3 parts. Make 3 rolls for each type of dried fruit. For further decoration, you can make a few small round cookies.
Step 4
Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 356°F for about 20 minutes until golden brown. While hot, cut into pieces 1–1.5 cm thick.
Step 5
Cream: whip the sour cream with sugar to taste. Add vanilla sugar.
Step 6
Take a tall enameled pot, grease the walls and bottom with cream. Randomly layer pieces of rolls, previously dipped in cream. Finish with an even layer.
Step 7
Refrigerate for a day.
Step 8
Use a knife to separate the cake from the walls around the perimeter. Turn the pot upside down onto a wooden board; if the cake does not release, tap the bottom of the pot.
Step 9
Spread a layer of cream over the finished cake, decorate with cookies resembling an old stump, and draw rings on top with a toothpick.
