Description
I do everything in a food processor, which whips, mixes, and slices the apples. During the cooking process, I don't touch the mixture with my hands at all. The best charlotte comes out for me in a rectangular non-stick baking pan. Doneness is checked with a toothpick — insert it all the way into the center of the batter and pull it out. If nothing sticks to it, the charlotte is ready.
Ingredients
- Baking Powder - 0.2 oz
- Wheat Flour - 1 cup
- Aport Apples - 2 pieces
- Chocolate eggs - 3 pieces
- Salt - a pinch
- Honey - to taste
- Granulated sugar - 0.7 cups
- Powdered Sugar - to taste
- Butter - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Whip the egg whites with sugar.
Step 2
Add the yolks and salt. Mix until smooth (ideally in a food processor or with a mixer).
Step 3
Gradually add the flour and baking powder. Mix thoroughly.
Step 4
Chop the Aport apples into thin slices and fold them into the batter. Stir the batter with a spoon and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
Step 5
Line the baking pan with parchment paper, grease it with butter, and pour the batter into the pan.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 356°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit) and bake for 40 minutes until golden brown.
Step 7
After baking, you can brush it with honey using a pastry brush and sprinkle powdered sugar through a sieve.
