Description
The Royal Curd Pie is actually not a pie but a grand, simple cake. The set of ingredients is indeed the same as in a traditional pie, but the cooking method is quite different. First, you will need dry cottage cheese; using wet cheese won't yield the same results. Secondly, the dough here is only needed to form the base of the pie, as the rest will be filled with the curd mixture. You can adjust the amount of sugar, for instance, reducing it—this recipe is particularly sweet.
Ingredients
- Sugar - 1 glass
- Dry Curd - 10 oz
- Chicken Egg - 3 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 2 glasses
- Sour Cream - 5 teaspoons
- Butter - 5 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix 2 cups of flour, 0.5 cups of sugar, and baking soda.
Step 2
Add 170 grams of butter to the mixture and rub everything together until it resembles crumbs.
Step 3
Mix 300 grams of cottage cheese, 3 eggs, 0.5 cups of sugar, and 0.5 cups of sour cream until smooth. You can use a blender for this.
Step 4
Spread half of the batter evenly in a greased baking dish. Pour the cheese mixture over it. Sprinkle the remaining batter on top.
Step 5
Bake the cheesecake for 20–25 minutes at a temperature of 355°F.
