Description
You can use any other type of red fish instead of salmon. For those who prefer convenience, you can buy puff pastry at any grocery store.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 8.8 oz
- Butter - 4.4 oz
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Salt - to taste
- Salmon - 17.6 oz
- Spinach - 12.3 oz
- Feta cheese - 8.8 oz
- Sour Cream - 4 spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Grate 125 grams of butter from the freezer.
Step 2
Add 250 grams of flour and a pinch of salt. Mix with a spoon until the flour coats the pieces of butter.
Step 3
Make a well and crack an egg into it.
Step 4
Add a couple of tablespoons of ice water and quickly knead the dough. You may need to add more water.
Step 5
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for half an hour (this enhances the flavor, but you can also roll it out immediately).
Step 6
Divide the dough into two parts: 2/3 and 1/3. Roll out the larger portion and place it into the baking dish.
Step 7
Cut the fish into relatively large pieces.
Step 8
Dice the feta cheese.
Step 9
Combine the fish, feta cheese, and spinach in a pot. Add sour cream (3 to 4 heaping tablespoons). Season lightly with salt.
Step 10
Spread the filling over the bottom layer of the dough, then cover it with the top layer.
Step 11
Place in the oven at 356°F for about 80 minutes. Towards the end, brush the pie with egg.
