Samosa with Lamb and Cumin

Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry - 1 piece
  • Onion - 2 heads
  • Lamb - 23.3 oz
  • Salt - 2 teaspoons
  • Black Cumin (Cumin) - 1½ teaspoons
  • Ground Black Pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Butter - 6.3 oz
  • Chicken Egg - 1 piece

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Using a sharp knife, chop the lamb as finely as possible.

Step 2

Finely chop the onion and add it to the meat. Add salt and black pepper.

Step 3

Mix well by hand. Place the filling in the refrigerator.

Step 4

Cut the sheets of puff pastry into small pieces.

Step 5

Roll out all the pieces of dough into flat circles.

Step 6

Fill them with the meat filling. Preheat the oven to 428°F.

Step 7

Fold into triangles.

Step 8

Mix 1 egg with 2 tablespoons of water. Brush the samosas with the egg mixture and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Grease the baking sheet with butter and place the pastries on it.

Step 9

Bake until golden brown: 20 minutes at 419°F, then reduce to 347°F and bake for another 15–20 minutes.
