Sausage Flowers for Breakfast

Ingredients

  • Water - 3 fl oz
  • Milk - 2 fl oz
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Sugar - 1½ tablespoons
  • Dry yeast - 1½ teaspoons
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Wheat Flour - 2 cups
  • Chorizo - 10.6 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Dissolve the yeast in water. Warm the milk, add sugar, salt, and butter, then pour it into the water with the yeast. Add the flour. Mix everything well. Let the dough rise for an hour, kneading it during the process.

Step 2

Cut the sausage into 8–10 pieces. Roll out the dough and use a bowl to cut out 16–20 circles. Alternatively, roll it out to the diameter of the sausage. Place sausage on one circle and cover it with another.

Step 3

Then make 8 cuts around the edge at equal distances, without cutting through the center.

Step 4

Turn every 2 adjacent halves of the petal outward.

Step 5

Brush the flower with egg yolk and place it in the oven. Bake at 356°F until done.
