Ingredients
- Milk - 1 cup
- Wheat Flour - 1 cup
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Semolina - 1 cup
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Butter - 2.8 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 0.7 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Vanilla salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Finely chop the butter and cocoa butter into pieces.
Step 2
Add all the butter to the milk and heat until the butter melts, then let it cool.
Step 3
Whisk the eggs vigorously with the sugar.
Step 4
Add the cooled milk with butter to the eggs and whisk.
Step 5
Gradually stir in the semolina into the liquid mixture, mix thoroughly and let it sit for 20 minutes to swell.
Step 6
Mix the flour with the baking powder and sift it, then add it to the batter and mix until smooth.
Step 7
Grease the cake pan with butter, sprinkle with flour, and pour the batter into it up to 2/3 of the height of the pan. I ended up with enough for 2 small rectangular cake pans.
Step 8
Place in a preheated oven at 356°F. Bake for about 45 minutes.
