Semolina Cake with Kefir and Lingonberries
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Vegetable Oil - 4 fl oz
- Kefir - 8 fl oz
- Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Wheat Flour - 4.2 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh-frozen lingonberry - 4.2 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - 0.1 oz
- Semolina - 4.2 oz
- Powdered Sugar - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Beat the eggs with salt. Add oil, kefir, sugar, semolina, and mix well until smooth. Add baking soda and let the mixture rest for about 40 minutes for the semolina to swell.
Step 2
Add flour, mix, and then add lingonberries; you can also omit them or use something else.
Step 3
Bake at 392°F for 20–25 minutes. When the cake has risen and is nicely browned, turn off the oven, and let the cake finish baking. Sprinkle the finished cake with powdered sugar.
