Description
If you don't have black molasses, substitute it with muscovado sugar, the darkest of cane sugars.
Ingredients
- Semolina - 2.8 oz
- Milk - 9 fl oz
- Raw cane sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Black Pomegranate Molasses - 1 teaspoon
- Ground Cinnamon - 0.2 teaspoons
- Grated Ginger Root - 0.1 teaspoons
- Light Raisins, Seedless - 1 tablespoon
- Chopped almonds - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, molasses, cinnamon, and ginger, stir, bring to a boil, and gradually add the semolina while stirring continuously. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Step 2
Remove the finished porridge from heat and serve in bowls. Top with raisins and pecans, and drizzle lightly with black molasses.
