Description
Instead of sesame oil, you can use any vegetable oil (sunflower, olive, etc.). Milk can be replaced with water. You can experiment with add-ins: flax seeds, spices, herbs... and thickness: the thinner the cracker, the crunchier it will be; the thicker it is, the more it resembles layered cookies. From this amount of dough, I made 24 fish shapes as shown in the photo.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 3.5 oz
- Flaxseeds - 0.9 oz
- Sesame Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Milk - 2 fl oz
- Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Toasted Sesame - 1½ tablespoons
- Kalonji Seeds - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix all the dry ingredients (flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, seeds).
Step 2
Gradually add the oil and flour, knead the dough. It should be similar to dumpling dough and not stick to your hands.
Step 3
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 3 mm, cut into shapes or squares/triangles.
Step 4
Place on a baking sheet, bake for 10–15 minutes until golden brown.
