Description
Don't skimp on the flour; the dough sticks well to both the plastic wrap and your hands, table, and knife (by the way, it might be better to use a pizza cutter))) Ta-da!! Our wonderful crackers are ready! Be happy and healthy! Enjoy your meal!
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 4.2 oz
- Semolina - 1.1 oz
- Water - 4 fl oz
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Desiccated coconut - 1.1 oz
- Cardamom - 0.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
So, to start, let's knead the dough. For this, we will need 120 g of white flour, 30 g of semolina, 30 ml of oil, and 120 ml of warm water. Mix the flour with the semolina and vegetable oil. Mix everything well with your hands. Pour in the water and knead the dough.
Step 2
Wrap the finished dough in plastic wrap and let it 'rest' for about 30 minutes.
Step 3
Divide the dough into two parts and roll each into a flatbread. Make several holes with a regular fork and cut into small squares.
Step 4
Heat a large amount of oil in a deep skillet and immerse our dough squares in it. Fry over medium heat until golden brown. Place the finished crackers on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Step 5
Now let's prepare the coconut syrup.
Step 6
In a small saucepan, combine 150 g of sugar and 120 ml of water. Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat until the syrup reduces by about half.
Step 7
When the syrup is ready, turn off the heat and add 30 g of shredded coconut and 2 g of ground cardamom. Mix everything well.
Step 8
Pour our crackers into the saucepan and gently stir them until they are evenly coated with syrup.
Step 9
Spread the crackers evenly on a baking sheet and let them cool completely and dry.
