Description
You can also make cookies with a checkerboard pattern: create 2 light dough rolls and 2 dark ones, wrap them in plastic wrap, and after chilling, slice and bake them just like in the recipe.

- Butter - 4.4 oz
- Sugar - 0.9 oz
- Wheat Flour - 6.3 oz
- Whole egg - 1 piece
- Cocoa Powder - 2 spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the cold butter into cubes and place them in a large bowl. Add the sugar and flour, and mix with your hands until crumbly. Add the egg yolk and quickly knead to form a smooth dough.
Step 2
Divide the dough into two parts and mix cocoa into one of them. Combine the light and dark dough into a single log, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Slice the sausage into rounds about 1 cm thick, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake in an oven preheated to 347°F for 8–10 minutes.
Step 4
Cool the baked cookies on a wire rack.
