Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 1 piece
- Spanish onions - ½ piece
- Cucumbers - 1 piece
- Iceberg Lettuce - 3 stalks
- Herbs - 3 stalks
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Chicken fillet - 1 piece
- Soy Sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Spices - to taste
- Sour Cream - 1 tablespoon
- Mayonnaise - 3 tablespoons
- Kefir - 1 tablespoon
- Dill - 1 stalk
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Salt - to taste
- Armenian Lavash - 2 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the chicken fillet into strips or cubes (whichever you prefer).
Step 2
Fry in olive oil on both sides until cooked (about 10 minutes).
Step 3
Add spices and soy sauce, mix well.
Step 4
Cut the vegetables into strips (or cubes), and chop the herbs finely.
Step 5
To prepare the sauce, combine all ingredients in a cup and blend with a blender.
Step 6
Cut the lavash into squares or circles; you can wrap it like an envelope or a boat.
Step 7
If using a boat shape, heat the lavash on one side in a pan to form a semicircle, add the filling, drizzle with sauce, and serve immediately. If using an envelope shape, first add the filling, wrap it up, and then brown it on all sides in the pan.
Step 8
Before serving the homemade shawarma, drizzle or dip it in the sauce.
