Description

You don't have to use only hazelnuts and chocolate; for example, you can add almonds and dried cherries. It all depends on your imagination!

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
  • Butter - 3.5 oz
  • Egg white - 1 piece
  • Powdered Sugar - 3.5 oz
  • Hazelnut - 1.8 oz
  • Chocolate - 1.8 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Pre-softened butter is mixed with powdered sugar until a homogeneous mass is formed (you can also use regular sugar, but using powdered sugar makes the dough smoother and more uniform).

Step 2

Add the egg and mix until smooth.

Step 3

Grind the hazelnuts and chocolate or simply chop them with a knife, depending on your preference. Add to the mixture.

Step 4

Gradually stir in the flour and quickly knead the dough. It will be quite soft but should not stick to your hands. Roll the dough into a log, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for about half an hour.

Step 5

Preheat the oven to 392°F.

Step 6

Remove the dough from the refrigerator and cut it into circles about 5–7 mm thick. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. The cookies can be placed fairly close together as they do not spread or increase in volume during baking. Bake for 7–15 minutes until lightly browned.
