Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 8.8 oz
- Butter - 4.4 oz
- Sugar - 2.6 oz
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Salt - a pinch
- Whole egg - 1 piece
- Brown Sugar - 2.6 oz
- Chili jam - 5.3 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix the flour, butter, sugar, egg, and a pinch of salt to form a dough. To do this, sift the flour into a mound on the work surface. Place the sugar and egg in the well, and surround it with diced cold butter. Chop everything with a knife until crumbly. Quickly knead the dough by hand.
Step 2
Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 3
Roll out the dough thinly, cut out shapes with a large heart-shaped cutter, and cut out the center of half of the shapes with a smaller heart-shaped cutter. Brush the cut-out shapes with egg yolk and sprinkle with coarse sugar. Bake in the oven at 392°F for 10 minutes. Spread jam on the whole cookie and cover it with the shape that has the cut-out center.
