Ingredients

  • Shortcrust Cake Mix - 17.6 oz
  • Apple - 6 lbs
  • Sugar - 3 tablespoons
  • Egg white - 5 pieces
  • Honey - 5 tablespoons
  • Wheat Flour - 4 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Roll out the shortcrust pastry into a thin layer of 0.5 cm, slightly larger than the baking tray on oiled parchment paper. Place it on the baking tray.

Step 2

Top with sliced, peeled apples.

Step 3

Drizzle the apples with honey and place in a preheated oven at 392°F for 30–40 minutes.

Step 4

Whisk the egg yolks separately with sugar and the egg whites. Add flour to the yolks. Then incorporate the egg whites into the mixture.

Step 5

When the pastry in the oven takes on a slightly yellow hue, remove the pie and pour the egg white mixture on top. Bake again for about 20 minutes.

Step 6

Once the pie is ready, cut it into large squares, sprinkle with powdered sugar mixed with cinnamon or vanilla, and arrange on a large plate.
