Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour - 1.1 oz
  • Milk - 8 fl oz
  • Butter - 0.4 oz
  • Sugar - 2.8 oz
  • Farm fresh eggs - 8 pieces
  • Oranges - 7.8 oz
  • Powdered Sugar - 0.7 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Whisk the egg yolks with sugar, add flour, grated orange zest, butter, pour in the milk, and cook the mixture over low heat, stirring continuously until thickened. Then cool the mixture, stirring occasionally to prevent a crust from forming.

Step 2

Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, add sugar, mix, and fold in thin slices of orange. Then combine with the egg-milk mixture and gently stir.

Step 3

Grease a heatproof individual dish with butter, dust with flour, and pour in the prepared mixture. Bake in the oven for 12–15 minutes.

Step 4

Serve the soufflé immediately after baking in the same dish, dusted with powdered sugar. Cold milk or cream can be served separately.
