Simple Baklava
Ingredients
- Chopped almonds - 1.4 oz
- Walnuts - 1.4 oz
- Dried Apricots - 0.9 oz
- Breadcrumbs - 0.9 oz
- Sugar - 0.9 oz
- Ground Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - a pinch
- Ground clove - on the tip of a knife
- Honey - 3 tablespoons
- Butter - 3.9 oz
- Phyllo Dough - 12 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
Place the almonds, walnuts, apricots, breadcrumbs, sugar, cinnamon, ground cloves, and salt in a food processor. Blend well and transfer the mixture to a small bowl. Add 30 grams of melted butter and honey. Mix thoroughly.
Step 3
Lay 1 sheet of phyllo dough on a dry surface. Using a brush, lightly coat the dough with melted butter. Place a second sheet of phyllo on top and also brush it with butter. Continue until you have brushed 6 sheets of phyllo. Cut the resulting rectangle into equal squares.
Step 4
Carefully place the dough into muffin tins. In each mold, place 1 tablespoon of the nut mixture so that you can gather the ends of the dough and form a pouch.
Step 5
Bake for approximately 20 to 25 minutes, until the dough is a beautiful golden brown.
Step 6
Remove from the oven and let cool. Then transfer the baklava to a serving platter.
