Description
This pie is great both warm and cold. It can be served hot with a scoop of ice cream or cold with morning coffee.
Ingredients
- Plums - 2 lbs
- Wheat Flour - 10.6 oz
- Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 0.1 oz
- Sugar - 3 tablespoons
- Yogurt powder - 10 fl oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Powdered Sugar - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Sift the flour into a bowl, add salt, sugar (2 tablespoons), and baking powder. Prepare the yogurt and eggs.
Step 2
Pour the yogurt into the mixture of dry ingredients.
Step 3
Crack in 2 eggs.
Step 4
Gently mix everything until smooth — the batter should be like liquid sour cream.
Step 5
Place a silicone mat or parchment paper in the baking dish.
Step 6
Pour half of the mixture into the dish.
Step 7
Wash the plums.
Step 8
Cut them in half and remove the pit.
Step 9
Then place the plum halves cut side up into the poured batter.
Step 10
Pour the remaining half of the batter on top.
Step 11
Arrange the remaining plums cut side up on top and sprinkle with sugar (just a couple of teaspoons, so the plums release juice and caramelize).
Step 12
Bake in the oven for 45 minutes at 356°F.
Step 13
Once the pie is done, you can sprinkle powdered sugar on top (for decoration).
Step 14
Let the pie cool and transfer it to a plate (be very careful, it is quite delicate until it cools).
Step 15
After cooling, you can slice it into portions.
